BarrelBeat is a family band whose members share a passion for Saint Patrick, the town of Killarney and a perfectly poured pint of Guinness. Through Irish music, they have found the shortest route to all three.
The four-piece ensemble performs traditional Irish, Scottish and English songs, sea shanties, jigs and reels with infectious enthusiasm, creating the atmosphere of a lively Irish pub wherever they play.
An interesting twist is that all members grew up in the village of Szada, but three of them eventually moved to Pécs for university studies and theatre work. It was here, at the Glasgow Pub, that the group first came together. So while the members may be from Szada, the band itself is proudly from Pécs.
