A dance of dreamlike visions unfolds across the walls of Theatre Square, opening this year’s Festival of Lights. Liquid colours, music and fragments of text merge into perfect symbiosis.
Prepare for an experience where sounds can be red—or even yellow—and light itself has rhythm.
DJ BODOO
DJ Bodoo’s sets know no borders. From the pulse of New York to Lisbon, Istanbul, Athens, Vienna and countless corners of the Northern Hemisphere, he has brought his records to audiences around the world.
As host of Nahát on Tilos Radio and The Observation Radio Show on Radiozora.fm, he continuously blurs genre boundaries. Though he has travelled the globe, there is one place that always calls him home. This summer he returns once again to his beloved city of Pécs to enchant the audience of the Zsolnay Light Festival yet again.
DJ SZTYEPP
There are DJs, and then there are musical alchemists who shape the identity of the underground scene. DJ Sztyepp belongs firmly to the latter category. Rhythm is encoded in his DNA: throughout his career he has had a profound impact on the scene both as a musician and a DJ.
As a founding member of the legendary band Úzgin Űver and as a DJ, he has performed in cities including Paris, Tehran, Sydney, Beijing, Berlin, Vienna and Bratislava. As host of Tilos Radio’s Szik+Víz programme, he has influenced the musical taste of generations.
TOMA
At Theatre Square, Toma serves as the musical, artistic and programme curator of Liquid Light Lab – the light art project of Steve Pavlovsky – while also performing every evening alongside his fellow Tilos Radio DJs.
He is the host of Tilos Radio’s Electrocat programme and the creator of the cult project Literary DubTechno. His career spans from world music and underground radio culture to guest appearances on Paris’s Radio Nova, while his signature sound is hypnotic, immersive electronic music.
In his Literary DubTechno works, philosophical and literary texts drift across flowing, spatial electronic soundscapes. He paints the airwaves with music and literature.
TILOS RADIO – WHERE FREEDOM WRITES THE RULES!
Have you ever wondered what a radio station without advertisements and endlessly repeated playlists would sound like?
Tilos Radio is exactly that: a fully independent, commercial-free station. What began as a pirate radio operation has become one of the most important beacons of Hungary’s underground culture.
Live DJ mixes—mostly played from vinyl records—and outspoken, taboo-free content find a home here, offering a platform for voices rarely heard elsewhere. There are no investors behind it: more than 300 passionate volunteers keep Tilos Radio running purely out of love, without financial compensation.
And who keeps it alive? You do.
The station is primarily funded by listener donations, merchandise sales and the legendary Tilos Marathon festival, held every year. It is a genuine independent community that could not exist without your support, and for that we are deeply grateful.
