MARCEL
Host of Tilos Radio’s Strictly Controlled Beats programme, music producer and DJ Marcel is one of the pioneers of Hungarian electronic music. He began his career in 1994 with the predecessor of Bernathy & Sons, later gaining international recognition through albums such as Viginti Etduo and Cirrus Maximus, as well as releases on the iconic Nuphonic label and the Future Sound of Budapest compilations.
His live performances have taken him across Europe, from London’s legendary The End club to the Transmusicales Festival. He has released music on renowned labels including LTJ Bukem’s Good Looking Records and Wax On Records, while his single Harakiri Blues was championed by Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio.
Today he continues to achieve success both as a member of Faunabeats—featured on Spotify playlists and Café del Mar compilations—and through his solo project Marcel aka Carmel, where he explores the worlds of chill-hop, trip-hop and deep electronic music.

DJ, producer and long-time Tilos Radio contributor, Sematic4 (formerly known as DJ Ozon) has been shaping Hungary’s electronic underground since 1996. Deliberately avoiding mainstream sounds, he has always been drawn to innovative and experimental approaches.
His musical palette ranges from electro, techno and acid to trip-hop and ambient. As a producer, his work has been released on respected international labels including Bass Agenda, Diffuse Reality and Warehouse Manifesto. He also regularly composes original music for films and theatre productions.
