Draw your own animation sequence! Twelve frames, one movement—draw it, spin it and take it home!
Participants can create moving scenes by drawing a repeating sequence of images, which are then placed inside a zoetrope (a rotating animation drum), bringing the figures to life. From a bouncing ball to changing facial expressions, almost anything can be animated.
During guided tours organised by the Total Art International Arts Association, visitors can explore the different stages of animation production. Those who feel inspired are also welcome to try selected parts of the creative process themselves. The workshop is recommended for all ages who enjoy animation, cartoons and playful movement.
The Total Art International Arts Association operates the exhibition History of Animation in Pécs, which has been presenting the history of animation in Pécs and the process of cartoon production since its opening on 16 August 2013. The association is dedicated to promoting the art of animation, preserving its values, supporting young artists through exhibitions and installations, and fostering both local and minority cultural heritage.
Participation is free of charge.
