Visitors are invited to take a unique behind-the-scenes journey into the world of animation filmmaking.
Inside the studio, only the glow of desk lamps, camera spotlights and editing screens illuminate the creative process. Through light, visitors can discover the different layers of animation drawings, the outlining of images on celluloid sheets, the completed drawings placed beneath the camera, and finally the moment when characters come to life on the editing monitor. By following the path of light, audiences can explore the entire process of animated film production.
The “History of Animation in Pécs” exhibition is operated by the Total Art International Arts Association and has been presenting the story of animation in Pécs and the process of cartoon production since its opening on 16 August 2013.
