As part of the Vasarely 2026 – Pécs Anniversary Year, and alongside the renewed permanent exhibition of the JPM Vasarely Museum celebrating its 50th anniversary, a retrospective exhibition dedicated to Claire Vasarely, wife of Victor Vasarely, is on view until 15 October.
For the first time, all works entrusted by the Vasarely couple to the museum in Pécs are presented together. The exhibition is complemented by reproductions of graphic works, paintings, textile designs and archival photographs from the collection of the Vasarely Foundation in Aix-en-Provence.
The temporary exhibition, titled A Life Lived in Colour, enters into a unique dialogue with the nearby permanent exhibition of the Vasarely Museum. Within just a few hundred metres, visitors can discover the artistic worlds of Victor and Claire Vasarely side by side, revealing how their works complement one another.
