Light Tinkering / Bishopric of Pécs

Bishop's Treasury Bishop's Treasury - 6 Káptalan StreetJul. 04.(Friday) 15:00 - 18:00

Design a glass window in the Bishop's Treasury!

During the session, participants can make their own coloured "glass windows". The aim of the creative workshop is to evoke the special relationship between light and colour in a playful way, as we can also experience it through the glass windows of the church.

In several locations of the Bishopric of Pécs, we can find windows providing such an effective play of light. Examples include the glass windows in the Mosque's St. Maurice Chapel, decorated with pictures of saints, or the large, colorful window decorating the foreground of the Treasury, designed by Ferenc Martyn, an outstanding figure of 20th-century Hungarian fine art.

At the session, both children and adults can try how to make spectacular, light-transmitting window decorations from simple materials – transparent, colourful foil and paper.

Price of the session: 1000 HUF/person
